Living a healthy lifestyle comes with many sacrifices and oftentimes supplementing where is needed. Even though I eat fairly clean, I still make sure I have my daily intake of certain vitamins and supplements. Eating these types of foods will provide your body with the energy it needs to function optimally. Avoid the temptation of binge eating on processed, sugar high carbs. Those food groups will lead to health issues and a sudden decrease in energy.

if you have a diet low in protein and workout consistently but see no progress, its likely due to not enough protein. Protein is another essential component of any healthy diet. It helps to build and maintain strong muscles, bones, skin, hair, and nails. It is also vital for proper hormone production and tissue repair. That means you should aim to get enough protein in your diet daily. There are plenty of plant based protein options available if you would rather skip the eggs and meat. Otherwise, if those food categories do not bother you, then go ahead and dive in and reach your protein goal of the day. 

Good protein sources include lean meats like chicken, fish, eggs, beans, nuts and seeds. Eating various foods can ensure that you get the right amount of protein in your diet.

3) Eat your Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are an essential part of any healthy diet. They provide the body with essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber. Eating various fruits and vegetables is vital to ensuring that you get all the nutrients your body needs to function properly. Someone who avoids fruits and vegetables will suffer greatly later on in life. 4) Fats are not the Enemy

You should aim to get both healthy unsaturated and saturated fats. Eating these types of fat can help ensure that you get the right amount in your diet. A quick and sure sign that you are fat deficient is dry skin and mood swings (a sign of an hormonal imbalance).

While I am a firm believer in getting your vitamins and minerals from whole foods, its oftentimes challenging to make that happen. This is where supplements come in. Supplements can help you fill any nutritional gaps that you may have in your diet so that you can still live a healthy life.
