It’s so easy to feel left behind in your progress, but over time you will see steady results. If you just started a new exercise class, and everybody else is able to do more reps than you or more circuits, it’s not a big deal if you need to sit it out. The intensity will come as you get stronger.
Focus on Rest as Much as Exercise
When people talk about getting fit, they are determined to hit the gym five, six, or even seven days a week. This can put you in the danger zone of overtraining. Rest is just as important as working out and it’s important to ensure that you feel your best a couple of days after your workout. You might have initial soreness, but you can greatly reduce this by recovering properly. Simple steps such as fueling yourself properly with adequate protein and healthy foods. In addition, getting in the proper amount of sleep for you. Most think that in order to get healthy, you have torture yourself and feel terrible after hitting the gym. But if you feel like this all the time, you may have a hard time keeping up. The ultimate goal of working out is to feel healthy!
