Priorities; we all have them and we all have different ones. But the real question is: how do you know if your priorities are in check and moving you forward in all areas of your life? Do you feel like you are stuck and in a roadblock, but also realize you need to make a change? I got your back!
How Are Your Priorities?
Your health is much easier to manage if it’s built into your daily routine. It’s important that you integrate good habits into your daily life. We live in a world of convenience and this often leads to: sedentary. Driving to work, sitting down all day, watching TV at night, and even doing Target drive up orders makes it easy to hardly move around. Even busy stay at home moms can have the tendency to just sit around and not work up a sweat or get the heart rate pumping. Think of ways how you can get active and implement some sort of physical activity throughout your day.
I tend to start most of my days with some form of physical exercise. Not only does this kick start my day on the right foot, but it also sets me up to make healthier choices throughout the day.
Prioritize Your Food
Remember this: you are what you eat. Eating well and balanced does not have to be a challenge and it does not have to require an unreasonable amount of time. I understand living under a time crunch. Sure, there are healthy 20-minute meals that only require a few ingredients. It only takes a little bit of time to establish healthy habits and incorporate them throughout your day. Meal prepping is beneficial when it comes to eating healthy. If you have cut up fruit and veggies ready to eat, you’ll more likely make healthier choices when your tummy is grumbling for food.
Manage Your Health
Get that Vitamin D
Nature is key to living a healthy lifestyle! The number one cause of a health crisis and not feeling well overall is not knowing how to relax and enjoy creation. Get away from the city, the busyness, and take a few hours outside in nature to explore, meditate and let go. The outdoors is important in all areas of health but one in particular is the mental health boost. Try incorporating more outdoor time and if this means you have to drive a little bit to get away from the city lights and busy environment, then make the time and effort to do so!
So back the original question: are you focusing on the right priorities?
